Object detail

Credit line
This cream cooler worked when cream trickled from the trench at the top over the tubes which were filled with cold running water. The grooves down one side of the cooler indicated it was probably part of a milk separator or something similar. It is thought to have been used for a single cow or a very small herd in the early 1900s.
