Wrapper, Butter (Anchor)
Description
Anchor butter wrapper. Plain sheet of paper measuring 27 x 19 cm with red and blue label. There are basically four sections to this label. The main central section bears the following text in red and blue: " UNSALTED Anchor NEW ZEALAND PURE CREAMERY BUTTER 1 lb NET(454g)" Three small anchors accompany this text.The same text is repeated twice - but with only one anchor. The following text is at one end (upside down when viewed flat): "EXPORTED BY NEW ZEALAND DAIRY BOARD WELLINGTON NEW ZEALAND". Was wrapped around a block of wood and used as a display prop emulating a block of butter. In fair condition - numerous creases where paper was folded around block. Also discolouration has occured where paper has been exposed to light. Remnant traces of clear sellotape evident. Unknown maker.
