Description
A cylindrical metal 2lb tin of Elthamol Veterinary Ointment. The tin has a lift off lid. The base of is a light orange colour and the lid is unpainted metal. " ELTHAMOL / VETERINARY OINTMENT / A Soothing Emollient for use after milking and / for application to cracks and abrasions, protecting / THE COWS TEATS /AND / THE MILKER'S HANDS. / MEDICATED PETROLEUM JELLY / FOR VETERINARY USE ONLY / Manufactured by The N.Z. CO-OP. RENNET CO. LTD / RENCO LABORATORIES / ELTHAM, N.Z " is written on the front of the tin. The rear of the tin features an image of a Jersey cow inside an oval. " Small cuts or abrasions on the teats may admit infection carried / from cow to cow by teat cups, milker's hands, etc. The regular / use of Elthamol after each milking keeps the skin pliable, pre / venting cracks and healing small wounds." The yellow ointment inside the tin has hardly been used.
