Description
Spotted Shag (Stictocarbo punctatus). Very slender bird with long slender wings and short stubby tail. Long slim bill with small terminal hook. Crown, high neck, throat, thigh and tail black. Back grey-brown with black spots on tips of upper coverts. White stripe from above eye, down side of neck to side of breast. Belly silver-grey. Turquoise blue-green below eye - has been painted on. Blue-eye ring - also painted on. Mounted standing on a rock - wings closed. In good condition.
