Redpoll
Description
Redpoll (Cardeulis flammea cabaret). Small bird. Red on forehead. Upper surface brown with darker streaks, paler on lower back. Greater and median wing coverts have broad buff tips which make indistinct pale wing-bars. Primaries and tail feathers dark brown. Secondaries brown, narrowly edged with pale buff. Belly, flanks, undertail coverts greyish white. In fair condition. One eye missing. Mounted onto a piece of white foam.
