Description
Eltham Co-operative Dairy Co. Ltd butter wrapper. Consists of a plain sheet of paper (26.5 x 19cm) with a blue printed ink label in the middle which reads: "Eltham / PURE CREAMERY / 1 lb NET BUTTER". Below this the follow text is printed within a rectangle "ONE POUND NET WEIGHT / PASTEURISED FREE FROM PRESERVATIVE / MANUFACTURED AT ELTHAM BY / Eltham Co-operative Dairy Co. Ltd." The same is printed above the middle label but is inverted (so that it reads the right way when folded over the pound of butter). Unknown lithographer / printer. c.early 1960s. In fairly good condition. Slightly discoloured around the outside edges and numerous minor light creases scattered throughout the hole body.
