Description
Asiatic Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus variegatus). Dark brown crown with a median white streak. Neck brown streaked with white. Upper surface brown; the feathers of the wing coverts are outlined in white. The tail is widely barred with white. Throat white. Foreneck and breast white streaked with brown. Abdomen white. Long bill curves downwards.
