Description
Single Cocos zeylandica fossil. A small, dark brown, slightly flattened, walnut sized fossil coconut. Three small depressions at one end filled with concretious sediment. Came from Coopers Beach. Dated Early Miocene (24-16 million years)

I remember these as a child - my uncle had a beach house at Coopers Beach. Recently we have been staying nearby and between us have found 3 in as many visits to the beach
