Description
Smallish carapace of a fossilised crab (tumidocarinus giganteus). Measures 4.5 x 10.5 x 11.5cm. Most of the siltstone concretion has been cleared off. Smooth, evenly rounded, somewhat flattened carapace covered with fine dots. Numerous fine surface cracks evident. Dates to the Miocene age (24-5 million years old). A fair example.
