Fossilised crab (tumidocarinus giganteus) encased within a siltstone concretion. Upper surface clearly visible - underside is partially covered in siltstone. Both chelea present - although top claw from left chelae has broken off. Most of the legs have broken off. Smooth, evenly rounded carapace, but somewhat flattened back - fine raised dots all over the surface. Total size measures 18.5 x 13cm (width x depth). Dates to the Miocene age (24-5 million years old). A fair example.
