Description
Large acrylic on board work depicting an image of the Kapuni # 1 oil well. Tall steel derrick is in right foreground. At base of well is a shed and small truck. Mt Taranaki / Egmont is in middle left background - from Kapuni. Cleared farmland surrounds well. No frame - but does have wooden support on back around edges. Lower edge unpainted. Was used as a display mural by Shell BP Todd. c.1960s. Painted by Marcus King (signed lower left edge). In fairly rough condition.
