Partridge (Perdix perdix). Rotund bird. Orangey brown face with orange patch behind eyes. Neck, chest and back grey, with white around the shafts and bars of brown and chestnut. Primaries brown and white striped. Abdomen grey with patch of chestnut. Legs painted black.
