Carapace, Green Turtle
Description
Carapace from a Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas). Oval dome shape. Very dark green (almost appears black) with yellow marbling. One of the large dorsal epithelial "scales" and two small posteria "scales" are chipped exposing underlying dermal bone. The dorsal surface is quite scratched.
