Object Detail


Black leather-bound book of fern and fern allies. Collected by Charles E. deVol in New York, Ohio and China. Specimens were collected in the 1930s. Includes information of habitat, altitude (sometimes) and generic name. Box also includes eight separate pieces of card with pink paper flaps containing pressed ferns but no accompanying information. These are possibly New Zealand natives according to the label on the box.
