This bottle was used as a survey marker near the corner of the Frankley and Hurworth Roads, New Plymouth. It was discovered by a survey team, including R M Standish and was on display in the foyer of the Land Information New Zealand Office in the Atkinson Building in New Plymouth until it was donated to the museum in 2001.
