Description
A Prussian blue colour stick. It has a paper wrapping at one end with " Carrington " handwritten in black ink on one side. It has been used. " REEVES & SONS / LONDON " is moulded on one side of stick itself with a small motif of a dog above the letters "PRUS " on the other.

This colour stick belonged to one of the Carrington brothers, who were all well known early New Plymouth surveyors. When added to water a colour stick produced an ink like substance used to colour maps.
