Ambrotype group portrait of James Yems, William Henry Honeyfield, George Lethbridge, N. Reid, John Joseph Looney, John Brooking and Samuel Newell. Yems, Honeyfield and Lethbridge are standing behind Reid, Looney, Brooking and Newell, who are seated. All seven men are wearing suits and hats. Gold paint has been used to draw in fob chains on three of the seven men. The names of the men have been handwritten directly onto the emulsion surface. The ambrotype has no matting or case.

The man named Looney looks to be my great great grandfather John Joseph Looney, who died in 1893 and is buried at Hurdon Cemetery in Cowling Road, New Plymouth. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/182291747/john-joseph-looney
