Robert was born 28 Feb 1862 in New Plymouth, NZ. Died 11 Aug 1951 Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. He was the son of William Billing and Eliza nee Peardon who were original settlers in New Plymouth, from Cornwall, Devon, England. Robert married Mary Jane nee Hope.
