Description
A Reserve Navy Officers cap. The cap is made of white ribbed cotton on the crown with a black peak and a thin leather chin strap over the top of the peak. There is gold insignia on the centre front made of metallic thread. It depicts an anchor surrounded by a wreath and surmounted with a royal crown. 4.2 cm wide black braid around the circumference of the cap. There is a brown leather sweatband and black fabric lining. Manufacturing label inside crown reads: "Gieves Ltd / London / By Appointment [x2]".
