Cordyceps Fungus

Description
Cordyceps robertsii (Vegetable catepillar). The fungus has taken over the body of a native moth with Aoraia dinodes or Dumbletonius sp. The body is brown and dried. The outline of the segments can still be seen. The long stalks are part of the fungus and would be attached to the catepillar body.
