 Description
A turned candlestick holder made from boxthorn wood. Round flat base with a turned piece for holding candlestick and a large wooden ring for handle. Large piece missing from one side of base but this is natural and just the nature of the piece being used. Smooth finish. Made by Rex Binns. In excellent condition. 2000.

This candlestick holder was turned by Rex Binns in his Manaia workshop from boxthorn wood sourced from south Taranaki. It was displayed in the Taranaki Museum exhibition " Boxthorn- It has no equal. " which was held from June - September 2000.
