Description
A turned round wooden bowl made from boxthorn wood. It has a narrow 2.9cm opening at the top and there are large naturally occurring gaps in the timber on the sides. Some parts of the vase are very smooth, others very rough.

This vase was turned by Rex Binns in his Manaia workshop from boxthorn wood sourced from south Taranaki. It was displayed in the Taranaki Museum exhibition " Boxthorn- It has no equal. " which was held from June - September 2000.
