Description
A yellow dress made from silk taffeta with an overlayer of pale yellow nylon. The dress is decorated with large embroidered yellow and silver floral appliques. It has a tight bodice and a gathered skirt which finished about mid-calf. There are a pair of narrow straps over each shoulder and a 30cm fastening zip down the wearer's right hand side which begins just under the armpit.

This was the dress worn by Patricia Hibell to the Festival of the Pines held at the Bowl of Brooklands on 17 February 1962. She was the second runner-up to Miss Bowl of Brooklands. The winner was Alison Pitcairn and first runner up was Anne Barry. This dress was made specifically for the opening night of the festival.
