Description
Track through the bush to North Egmont. Track begins middle forground and extends into the distance. A horse and rider, along with a figure walking alongside, are pictured on the path. Thick vegetation and tall trees on both sides of track. Sky is seen through the branches and foliage. Part of a series of works by Edith Halcombe documenting Sir William Fox's climb up Mt Taranaki/Egmont in February 1890. Members of the party included: Premier Sir William Fox; Mayor of New Plymouth Arthur Standish; Edith Halcombe; Miss Standish, Miss Saddler, Guide Harry Peters and Robert Clinton Hughes.
