Mace
Description
A ceremonial mace. The mace has a silver metal head with a crown at the top. The crown sits on a silver ball which tapers towards the shaft. One third of the way down the shaft is a ring around the shaft with protruding rings on either side. Attached through the rings is a white rope which winds around the shaft to the bottom where the ends are joined with two more metal rings attached to the ferrule. The ferrule is 24cm long and silver coloured metal. The main body of the shaft is wood which is covered with a black plastic coating. It is held in an apricot coloured fabric bag.
