The kaupapa of this cloak is worked in horizontal rows of whatu. Five whenu to 10mm. Ara spaced at 70mm intervals. The entire back is reinforced with calico cloth.

This korowai has interesting and bold use of colour. The hukahuka are of dyed muka. The majority are tightly twisted with an occasional karure. The taaniko border is a later addition and is worked into wool 10 stitches to 1cm. Taaniko designs include wakarua kopito, aonui, patikitiki and haehae. The wool decoration has been worked into the kaupapa and not applied later. There is no recorded provenance for this Korowai
