Description
Kaupapa worked in horizontal rows of taniko or patahi. Three whenu to 10mm. Ara spaced at 2mm intervals. 170mm lengths of prepared harakeke have been folded into half and woven into kaupapa as for a feather cloak. The harakeke is woven with every second whenu on alternative rows. The cloak is finished at the neck with a heavy three ply plait.
