Candlewick kaupapa worked in horizontal rows of patahi spaced at 60mm intervals. 4/5 whenu to 10mm (two different types of candlewick used). Tuffs of kiwi feathers in top of centre panel. Lower central panel consists of bands of kiwi feather, pink and black wool worked into the kaupapa in a twill weave. At this point there are no aho. The two side panels consist of a complete coverage of feathers using kiwi with rectangle of male pheasant.a band of reinforcing material is attached along the inside top edge
