Plateholder

Description
A plateholder with a wooden frame of interlocking wood, a backing which is hinged in the middle and has two catches to hold it in place. The backing is lined on the inside with a white coloured felt. At the front is a plate of clear glass. Written on the back is " EASTMAN PRINTING FRAME FOR VEST POCKET NEGATIVES 1 5/8 X 2 1/2 ".

This plate holder belonged to Eileen Moss, a keen amateur photographer in New Plymouth during the 1920s. Prior to marriage, Eileen produced numerous photographs documenting many events and outings she attended.
