Description
Semi submersible oil drilling rig in (McCleod Bay) Whangarei Harbour. Hunt Petroleum, "Penrod 74" arrived off Marsden Point 29 Nov 1974 from Singapore under tow by the tug "Arctic". In attendance were "Grizzly Bear" and "Polar Bear". Moored in harbour while modifications were carried out. 12 Feb 1975 towed to New Plymouth (modifications included the slightly browned patches on the lower leg).
