Description
A shelf clock with a silver coloured metal case, a black face and green numbers. A circle with small lines through it to mark the minutes runs around the outside of the numbers. The hands are black and green and the second hand is red. The alarm is a small dial below the 12 and has only one hand. On top of the clock are the " alarm/silent " lever and the " steady / repeat " lever. The handle is between the two levers.A winding mechanism and time changing buttons are on the back. The clock stands on three feet. Below the hands on the clock face id written the name " PETER " is written below the clock's hands on the face. " REPEAT " and " ALARM " are written either side of the hands.

This clock was bought by Peter Peckham soon after he migrated to New Zealand from England in 1956. He used it to wake him to get up to do the morning milking when he was working on a farm at Auroa in South Taranaki.
