My great Grandfather, Esau Marsh was his brother. Wonderful to see a portrait of Alfred here. He appears in a Taranaki Daily News article "A matter of Life and Death." 22.5.2012. He was born 12 Nov 18 1831, Netherbury, Dorset, England. Dies 1st February 1912 in New Plymouth. He arrived on the Timandra with his parents and siblings and married in New Plymouth 3.11.1856. They are both buried along with other family member at the Te Henui Cemetery, New Plymouth.
