Description
Illuminated commemorative card or scroll of Taranaki Mounted Volunteers 1860-1866, featuring battle honours and facsimiles of Taranaki Militia and Volunteer colours, flanked by the New Zealand Cross. Between them is a medallion containing a sketch of Mount Egmont / Taranaki, with a mounted volunteer in the foreground, above which is the New Zealad medal and the words " Taranaki Mounted Volunteers, 1866-1866" in gold. Down either side are the engagements in which the corps took part, while the centre shows a roll and brief history of the corps, with extracts from despatches in which special mention was made of the corps' services.

Signed by Captain F.J. Mace and Pay-Sergeant J.C. Davies. Lithographed by [Joseph] Hooker & Co., New Plymouth in September 1902.
