 Description
An oval metal belt buckle featuring an image of Mount Taranaki / Egmont in relief in the centre. " G.T.G. Project " is above the mountain and " Safety Recognition " is below below. It has a metal loop on the reverse side.
These items such as first aid kits were awarded to contractors working on the Gas to Gasoline project at Motunui.

This belt buckle was a safety award for a worker at the PetralGas Gas to Gasoline project in the Waitara Valley which was awarded circa 1984. Workers here and at the Synfuel plant at Motunui were given various safety awards including sets of drinking glasses and mugs regularly.
