Description
A jar of preserved plums. Half of the juice has evaporated exposing several plums which are shrivelled and dark. The liquid has leaked and there are drip marks on all sides of the jar. The top of the jar has been reinforced with candle wax. "Preserved Plums about 1899 or 1900" is written in faded lettering on the label.

These plums were pickled by my great grandmother in 1899, she won first prize at the local show that year
