Description
Black evening gown of chiffon over satin. Bodice of chiffon is a 94cm rectangle with a high neck and back opening thus giving a cape-like effect and is attached to the circular skirt. The attached satin underskirt has a fitted bodice, 2cm wide shoulder straps and a flared skirt.

an

formal
dinner
when
the
President
of
Coca
Cola
came
from
Atlanta,
USA
to
Auckland.
Pam Darney designed and made many of her dresses. She based her clothes on the European designers in Vogue. She used the photos to draw up her own designs to work from. She was never formally trained but learnt from her Grandmother, who was a tailor, on her treadle sewing machine.
