The dress was designed and made by Pam Darney from material bought at Michael Groves. Dress designed to be worn to Robyn and Hilton Tuckett's wedding (Pam's brother) at St. Matthews Church in Wellington. It was a formal, winter wedding. Pam's dress was made of fine wool and was matched with a large fushia pink hat and accessories.

Pam Darney designed and made many of her dresses. She based her clothes on the European designers in Vogue. She used the photos to draw up her own designs to work from. She was never formally trained but learnt from her Grandmother, who was a tailor, on her treadle sewing machine. She also made bridal and bridesmaid dresses for customers referred to her by Michael Groves.
