Long full skirted, pale green patterned dress featuring repetitive head and shoulder portraits of a young woman within a floral framework of lavender and green. Sleeveless with a low neckline surrounded by a cape-like collar. Skirt has pale blue taffeta lining.

Voile material bought at Houghton's. Would have been worn with very high heels, likely platforms. Dress designed and made by Pam Darney to wear to a dance. She made dresses for dances very frequently as didn't tend to wear them more than once.

Pam Darney designed and made many of her dresses. She based her clothes on the European designers in Vogue. She used the photos to draw up her own designs to work from. She was never formally trained but learnt from her Grandmother, who was a tailor, on her treadle sewing machine.
