Description
A maritime clock enclosed in a wooden case. The case is inlaid with brass and ivory and has two brass handles on the sides. It is hinged in two parts with button release latch and keyhole. The clock, with a gold coloured face, is suspended in the bottom part of the case and is able to rotate 360 degrees. There is a brass key in the top right corner of the box. " ROBERT ROSKELL / MAKER TO THE ADMIRALTY / LIVERPOOL 1594 / 61433 " is marked on a plaque on the front of the box.
