Description
A small blue synthetic fabric flag on a pole with a square wooden base. "CITY OF NEW PLYMOUTH" is written in black on the flag which features a profile of Mount Taranaki. The Southern Cross is featured on the right facing top corner of the flag and a black and white Maori motif runs horizontally along the bottom edge. Created after a public design competition, the flag was formally adopted by the City Council in April 1986.
