Description
A New Zealand Volunteer Service Medal. The silver plated medal features a left facing profile of King Edward VII on the obverse. " NEW ZEALAND VOLUNTEER 12 YEAR SERVICE MEDAL " is marked around the outside. A kiwi surrounded by a wreath is featured on the reverse. " No 256 COL SERGT. ERASMUS ARMITAGE TARANAKI RIFLE VOLS. (1904) " is marked on the edge. The medal is attached to a drab khaki ribbon fringed in crimson by a simple suspension ring.
