Credit line
This Lemon Squeezer hat belonged to well known Taranaki nurseryman Sir Victor Davies. He served in World War I from 1915 and was in Germany with the Army of Occupation, as a senior lecturer in horticulture for the New Zealand Occupied area which gave him the opportunity to study forestation in Germany and France. This knowledge proved to be of great value to him in later years after he returned to play a leading role in the firm Duncan and Davies.
