Description
Consists of two figures in a frontal position one on top of the other. The top figure is female while the lower figure is of an undetermined sex. The head of the top figure is tilted to the right and has an arm through the mouth. The other arm passes along its side with the hand resting on the side of the body. One leg rests on the lower figures forehead while the other leg passes through the lower figures mouth. The body of the lower figure is squat with the head tilted to the left. Again one arm passes through the mouth while the other arm passes along the side with the fingers resting on the body. No legs are present on this figure. Puwerewere is used extensively on eyebrow, lips, limbs and digits. Background decoration consists of matakupenga. A strip of wood along the level of the eyes of the lower figure is missing. Two lashing holes are present on the left side while four are present on the right side. This epa would fit on the right side of pataka. Carving is shallow.
