Description
Fire screen with elaborately carved, wooden, three pronged base, brass shaft and cross fitting, turned finial and tapestry hanging. The tapestry is suspended from eight metal eyelets attached to the cross arm. The tapestry depicts a bonneted woman with billowing orange skirts and exposed undergarments. She is feeding robins and flanked by two trees. The image is framed by a geometric design in yellow and purple. The tapestry is finished along the edges with twisted cord and backed with plain mustard coloured cotton.
