Description
A brown silk gown trimmed with gold. The bodice is boned in the front, has curved seams in the back and is backed with calico. It fastens with hooks and embroidered eyelets on the outside. The bodice is shaped with two points at the front of the waist and is trimmed with a covered cording. The bishop sleeves are fitted at the shoulder and the elbow and they flare to a bell shape at the wrist. The bodice is embellished with a light brown ruching that has dangling metal springs with thread covered balls attached. The skirt has a series of box pleats along the back and the hem is bound with brown wool. " Mayons Drapers Ltd./Stratford" is written on a label sewn on the hem. "Miss Anderson" is also handwritten on the label.
