Description
A Ragtime Rastus Talking Machine (phonograph) toy. The toy, which is designed to 'dance' as a record plays, consists of a caricature of a black performer with articulated limbs which is mounted on a thin metal pin. This pin slots into a wooden platform which in turn can be fitted on the arm of the phonograph using two other attachments. The toy comes in its own cardboard box with a lift off lid. Extensive instructions and promotional material is printed on the lid. One of the hands of the figure has broken off but it remains with the toy.
