"Rama-Nui"

Production date
Feb 1916
Description
Unframed oil on canvas depicting a botanical scene. There appears to be a variety of species featured in this painting. There is a large cluster of green leaves in the centre of the painting, and a smaller specimen of green flax in the bottom right corner. There are four different types of white flowers depicted, all different sizes and shapes, and one with yellow centres. Finally, there is a plant along the left edge that is has a brown stem and dark purple leaves dotted along it. The background is a mottled brown and grey colour.

Fanny has identified this plant as "Rama-Nui", however this is a nonexistent plant name. The plant has been subsequently identified as J. repens.
