There are stems with small green leaves intertwined with the clusters of flowers. The background is coloured using varying shades of green.

This plant species has been identified by Fanny as "Clinathis Puniceus, Kowhai-Nguru-Kaka", alternatively known as Kaka Beak Kowhai.
