Chatelaine
Description
A silver-plated brass chatelaine. The waistband clip is attached to an openwork shield that has a smaller hinged shield below. Both shields are decorated with scroll and line designs. There are five flower decorated chains attached to the shields. One chain holds a thimble holder, and another holds a metal covered ivory note pad. A third chain holds a white metal pencil holder that does not belong to the original set.
