Five photographs with annotations beneath matted together. Two hand drawn illustrations have been added to the mat by D. Blair. The main annotations read: "Presented to Colonel Charles Stapp NZM / Royal Rangitikei Rifles / on his giving up command of the Rangitikei District / April 1891". The photographs depict the drill shed in Marton, officers, non-commissioned officers and a military band.
